A short Microsoft Teams introduction

Teams is a platform where groups can work together on their projects. It is easy to send messages on the site to the group or to an individual while working on Teams. No need to shift between different applications.

Install Teams

1. Open this Teams link: Portal , this joins you to the Portal Team and opens a pop-up to help.


2. On the pop-up, click "Open Link" that opens a website with the option to download the application.
   

Join the Bidvest Protea Coin Portal team

Open this Teams link to join to Portal , and log in with your work email address and matching domain password. This joins you to the Portal Team where all Bidvest Protea Coin shares important notices, documents and more

Install MS Teams if you have not already and remember to log in to Microsoft.

Investigate the Teams environment

Teams - Plan and create a workspace for a group of people to collaborate.

Channel - A team is divided into channels. Create channels (categories) for your group to organise your work and goals.

Chat - This area is for text-based messages. It can be better utilised than e-mail in some cases. The delivery is informal and fast however, only suited for team members.

Calendar - Plan meetings and deadlines on the Teams calendar.
